James “Jim” Edward Baillie, age 84 of Austell passed away December 16, 2017.Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lyn Baillie; daughter Anne Baillie Ervin; daughter Katie Baillie Miller and husband Kurt; grandchildren, Spencer, Logan, and Baillie. Jim enjoyed 84 years of living a full and joyful life with countless blessings of precious family and friends, 62 years of a loving marriage with his beautiful bride, 38 years working at Newsweek Magazine as the Southeast Advertising Director, countless years and memories of being the best dad anyone could ask for, and a decade plus as our Papa to his pride and joy grandchildren. A faithful life blessed beyond measure. A celebration memorial and reception of his life will be held Wednesday December 20th at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Village Center with Rev. Chris Moore-Keish officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Presbyterian Village Caring Hands Fund at www.presbyterianvillage.org/donate. A private family burial will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia at a later date. Arrangements are with Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Austell.
