Jack Rich's Obituary
RICH – Mr. Jack Rich, age78, of Powder Springs passed away April 13, 2012. Jack graduated from Osborne High School in 1951, and served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. He was self-employed in appliance repair service for several years and later retired from self-employment in landscaping. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and loved playing and singing gospel and country music. He will be remembered by his great sense of humor, his love of family and compassion for others. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Farmer Rich; daughter, Lea Ellen Rich; sons Edwin Rich and wife Joanne, Donald Rich and wife Carla; grandchildren, Amanda and Jon Taylor, Shawn and Rachel Rich, Christa and Stephen Sapp, Alona and Lonnie Nichols, Douglas Rich and Mitzi Rich; great-grandchildren, Lance Taylor and Ethan Sapp; sisters, Athaleen (Frank) Garner, Dorothy King and Winnona Rich; brother Harold Rich and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, 2012, 2 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Snyder Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Calvary Children’s Home, 1430 Lost Mountain Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127 or to Georgia Parkinson’s Disease Association, 708 Glen Milner Blvd., Rome, GA 30164.
