Ira Thomas "Tommy" Walker's Obituary
Ira Thomas “Tommy” Walker, age 80, of Dallas, GA passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Tommy was born in Atlanta on October 13, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Hoyt Walker and Ida Patricia Walker; and sister, Paula Jeanne Walker Wylie. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Lockheed Martin in 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs. He enjoyed taking mountain trips with Barbara, his wife of 55 years. Tommy also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wylie Walker; sons, Alan Walker and Daniel Walker of Dallas, GA; three grandchildren, Zach Walker, Audrey Walker Bergner, and Will Walker; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 1, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday, July 2, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2:30 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home for procession to the graveside service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The procession will leave at 2:00 PM.
