Ina Bea Johnson Price's Obituary
Ina Bea Johnson Price, 86, of Powder Springs, GA went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 28, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born on April 12, 1924 in Cleaton, KY to the Rev. James Virgil and Lela Jane Johnson. She grew up in various states throughout the south, depending on wherever her fathers’ ministry took them. They eventually settled in the Atlanta area where she met and married her husband William Parks Price Sr. in November of 1947. She lived 49 years in Fulton County, the majority spent in the city of East Point. In 1995 she relocated with her daughter to Powder Springs, GA where she remained until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Syble Hunter, her beloved husband and 3 children: Donna Kay Price, Kathy Marie Price Higgins and Larry Thomas Price. She leaves behind a brother, James Stanley Johnson of Prattville, AL; a son, William Parks Price Jr. of East Point, GA; four daughters, Joanne Anderson (Bill) of Waycross, GA; Linda Lathren (Mike) of Commerce, GA; Susan Plowden (Tom) of Powder Springs, GA; Billie Price of Powder Springs, GA; and one daughter in law Claudia Renee’ Price of Duluth, GA; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell, GA on Monday May 31, 2010 at 1:00pm. Rev. Randy Sharp will officiate. Interment will follow at the College Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday May 30 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
