Hope Ellen Grizzle's Obituary
Hope Ellen Grizzle, aged 82 of Marietta passed away on April 28, 2022.
Hope was a voracious reader and liked to start her days with a cup of coffee and a cigarette.
She was a wonderful cook and loved her kitchen gadgets.
Hope was very supportive of the arts. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting. She also loved gardening and learning and utilizing the meaning of flowers.
Hope is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Freddie A Grizzle; her sons, Freddie A Grizzle, Jr. and James Grizzle; and her siblings, Robert, Steve, and Bruce.
She is survived by daughter, Dianne Grizzle Cornelius; son and spouse, John Grizzle and Dagmar; daughter and spouse, Myra Grizzle and Mark Maisel; daughter-in-law, Sherry; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many beloved extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1st from 4:00-8:00 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, May 2nd at 10:00 am at Davis-Struempf Chapel. A Graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Monday, May 2nd at 1:30 pm.
