Henry Paul Wilson's Obituary
Henry Paul Wilson, age 89, of Powder Springs passed away peacefully September 30, 2025.
Henry was born to Lewie Wilson and LouVenia Bryant Wilson in Acworth Georgia on December 2, 1935. He was raised in Kennesaw at the foot of the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield, where he spent many childhood days searching for Civil War relics. In 1953, Henry married Inez Wade. Henry worked at General Motors for 40 years until the plant closed. Upon his retirement, Henry had many interests from helping friends and neighbors, working on cars, rebuilding lawn mowers, and cooking. He was famous for his delicious chocolate cake and creamy grits. Henry was dedicated to his church and was a Deacon for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother; father; brother, Lewis; and sister Dorothy.
He is survived by his wife, Inez; and children, Pamela, Michael (Gail), and Paula (Dale). He has four grandchildren, Kara (Chris), Lauren (Gary), Christopher (Nancy) and Ashley. He also has eight great-grandchildren, Lindley, Siena, Jacob, Samuel, Lucca, Landen, Cali, and Chase.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring Henry's life will be held Monday, October 6, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs City Cemetery.
