Henry Martin's Obituary
Henry Joe Martin, age 68, of Austell, Ga, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May
7th, 2019. Henry lived quite well, with Epilepsy most of his life, but most recently
became ill with complications from his seizures, and passed away after a tough fight in
the hospital. Henry was born on November 9, 1950 in Frankfurt Germany to Henry
Ford Martin and Anna Elizabeth Hartig Martin. He lived his life to the fullest through
simple pleasures, by worshipping God with his church family at Calvary Baptist,
through his annual trips to Memphis for Elvis’s birthday, and in watching his beloved
Braves!
He was loved deeply by his family, and survived by his mother, Anna Martin, brother
Ron Martin (Karen), sister Patsy Smith (Smitty), niece Veronica (Adam) and nephews,
Steffen, Erik, and Adam (Shawna).
Family & friends of Henry will gather on Wednesday, May 15th at 12:00, followed by his
Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm, at Calvary Baptist Church on Flint Hill Road in
Austell, with Reverend Wayne Phipps officiating.
A private family graveside service will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Calvary Baptist
Church, 4780 Flint Hill Rd SW, Austell, GA 30106.
