Henry Franklin Grier Jr.'s Obituary
Henry Franklin Grier, Jr., age 83, of Smyrna passed away July 22, 2019. Henry was a long-time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He loved to read and study his Bible, and felt a calling to teach Sunday School. Henry is preceded in death by his son, Terry Grier; and great-grand daughter, Kaitlyn Crowe. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth C. Grier; children, Raymond (Tammy) Grier of Lee, AL, Kenneth (Fran) Grier of Cartersville, Brenda (Wayne) Crowe of Villa Rica; and Berry (Debra) Grier of Smyrna; nine grandchildren, Wendi Grier, Jamie Grier, Amie Crowe, Brandi (Greg) Bayne, Christopher Grier, Stephanie (Brian) Wright, Justin (Amber) Grier, Brittani (Chris) Jones, and Daniel Crowe; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Brother Tommy Young and Brother Mike Reeves officiating. Interment will follow the service at Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
