Henry Lowe Glore's Obituary
Henry Lowe Glore, 81, of Mableton, Blairsville, Canton, and Dallas, GA, went to be with the Lord April 3, 2017 at his home in Dallas. He was born in Mableton to Charlie and Mabel Davis Glore and was always known as the baby of their eleven children. Henry was a long-time employee of Owen-Illinois (Brockway) Glass Company, having retired in 1994. Henry was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and being with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He loved God, God’s plan of salvation, the church, and being with his Christian friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Mabel Davis Glore; his brothers, James P. Glore, Clyde Glore, Wilbur M. Glore, Marvin R. Glore, and Donald E. Glore; his sisters, Lucy Glore Lambert, Katherine Glore Barton, and Thelma Glore Deal.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eleanor Finch Glore; his daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Brown and Janice (Ryan) Petosky; his son, Steve (Sandy) Glore; his grandchildren, Stacy (Seth) Condra, Rachel (Matt) Gooding, Colin Glore, Mitchell Glore, and Adam Petosky; his sister, Mary Glore Dickerson; many nieces and nephews, along with a multitude of friends because Henry never met a stranger. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Randall Whitten officiating along with Pastor Tony Black and Pastor Rueben Smith. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 5, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
