donna we are so sorry to read about your mother she had a big heart. i remember the few times i got to talk to her be for and after i married into the speer family. she helped my sister and prayed for her when she was hit with a baseball in 1975 she and others prayed for my sister (marylou biddy) right there in the field that day and god make my sister well right there . your mother had a very close relationship with the lord and it showed in all that she did. god bless you and your family

When I think of Sister Helen, many songs come to my mind, which are her "Portrait". "Glory Road, I Haven't Changed my Mind, Jesus Made the Difference, We'll Soon Be Done With Troubles & Trials". Now I can see that Heavenly Choir, the people of Riverside "stand out" the most - Helen, Ruby, Sister Bennett, Bro. Garland, Bro. Mike, & my Mom, Louise Nelson (& many others). I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I can remember spending time at your house and jumping on the trampoline. My best memory is when she would take us to pick blackberries. We had to dress from head to toe with long clothes but she always had cold water for us to drink.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother's death. When I lost my Mother it was really hard for me to except, but by the grace of God I was able to go own with my life. No it wouldn't be the same but being a Christian I have that hope that we will meet again some day and it will be like we were never apart. Jesus said Let not your heart be trouble ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and recieve you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also. Life doesn't end here but we go on living because of God's precious son Jesus. I just wanted to tell you that you will see your mother again. Just let God be your comforter right now because he's the only one who can take the pain and hurt away in this time of loss. I loved your mother. The choirs were singing ,when Heaven's gate flew open.The Angels were bringing her Heavenly home that she had been promise. Mike,Garland,Sis.Glenda,Ruby.all of Riverside Church Of GOD members who had gone on were singing as she entered waiting for her to join the choir.This sweet angel will be missed by all.This was one of GOD's Prayer Warriers.Riverside wll never be the same.We loved this sweet lady who cooked and baked for everyone.Her cakes and pies.I would have to hide from Dewey, who would eat them all up.We love you Helen.Our Hearts are broken.Thank You for welcoming me into Riverside Church Family.Rest now sweet angel.I love you Helen.Jimmy and Dewey##imported-begin##Jimmy Moody -Dewey Quick##imported-end##

****Sister Harrell,**** She was a BEAUTIFUL & Sweet Lady. I have known her ALL my life. She was the Youth Choir Director at Riverside Church of God. I was in the Youth Choir, I was only 4 years old when I started singing in the Youth Choir, now I'm almost 50 yrs. old. In the past year, she would mention to me, about me being so young when I was in the Youth Choir. We would always laugh about different things that happened.

Sister Harrell, You have always been a BRIGHT Star in my life. I will always Love you and I surely will MISS You!!!! By the way, Congradsulations, You made it HOME(to Heaven). :-)##imported-begin##Marcus Moss##imported-end##

I remember so well when we lived across
the street from Helen on main st. she used to come over in the mornings just a grinning and telling mama I smelled that coffee clear over to my house, it smelled so good. Mama would invite her in for a cup and a biscuit. They would laugh& talk over different things. Helen we loved you & will miss you. Mrs Harrell,
I will never forget you...you were a wonderful friend to my mom and dad when we lived across the street from you in Atlanta.
We enjoyed times of laughter and times of sadness, but it was always together.
