Helene Elien's Obituary
Helene Elien, age 82, of Powder Springs passed on to her Heavenly home on April 15, 2024.
Helene Came to America for the first time from Haiti with her children on December 2, 1986 where she lived in New Jersey. While living in New Jersey, she was a member of Crossroads Church.
She then moved to Georgia in 2006, where she was an active church member of Open Bible Tabernacle Haitian Assembly and dedicated member of their church choir.
She loved to host her family and cooking was her love language. She was very popular and known for her Haitian cuisines. Anyone who tasted her food was amazed. She even had a small business selling plates of food during her time in New Jersey.
She had a love of shopping at Macys and dressing up. She always looked sharp and fashionable, having her nails and hair done. Helene loved to dance and enjoyed making people laugh. She could talk on the phone for hours with her family and friends.
Helene would listen to prayer groups from sunrise to sunset each day. She loved taking long walks, often to all of her favorite stores. Springfield Avenue in New Jersey was her most frequented area to walk and shop with her granddaughter along her side.
