Helen Ruby Withrow Cagle's Obituary
Helen Ruby Withrow Cagle, age 93, passed away December 4, 2020 after a brief illness. Her son, David Cagle and daughter, Carole Cagle Bennett were with her when she passed.
She was born September 30, 1927, Hiram, Georgia, but raised in Austell, Georgia. She graduated from Austell High School. Helen worked for Hass & Dodd Insurance Company before marriage to William Howard “Bill” Cagle, January 4, 1958. They were married 57 years prior to his death April 27, 2015.
As her children grew up, she was active with the Cub Scouts; Secretary Wesleyan Service Guild, United Methodist Church. She was a Homemaker.
Helen was one of 12 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Julia Mull Withrow and ten of her siblings.
She is survived by son, William David Cagle and wife, Kelly; daughter, Carole Ann Mitchell Bennett and husband, Greg; five grandsons, Adam Cagle, Clinton Cagle, Jarrett Cagle and fiancé, Jessica Nicula, John Mitchell and wife, Ashley, Will Mitchell; she is also survived by a great-grandson to be born, John Chester Mitchell IV; sister, Jean Cairnes; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Cagle and Elizabeth Cagle Gentry; many nieces and nephews.
Helen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Bill Cagle at the Georgia National Cemetery during a private graveside service on Friday, December 11th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wellstar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue NW, Marietta, GA 30064.
