Hazel Elizabeth Cash's Obituary
Hazel Allen Price Cash, age 96 of Mableton passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. A great Lady of the Greatest Generation is absent from the body, present with the Lord. Hazel has lived most of her life on the farm her Grandfather owned, John Allen. Her father purchased 50 acres from his estate. She grew up, the second child of 7 children, born to Bessie Argo Allen and Boyd Allen, both deceased. She worked on the farm her young life. Her first job outside the home was with Kings Bakery at 30 cents per hour. She later was a partner in Harmony House Cafeteria with her sister. She managed school cafeterias for Cobb County School Systems and retired as bus monitor for Cobb School System. She was married to L.D. Price and he died as a result of a car accident. She later married Fred Cash and he died from Pneumonia. Hazel was predeceased by her parents, Bessie Argo and Boyd Allen; 2 grandchildren, Debbie Brookshire and John Brookshire; Sister, Odessa Allen; 4 Brothers, Howard and wife Kate, Nolen "Pete" Allen, Jack and wife Nell Allen, Frank and wife Nona Allen. Hazel is survived by sister, Mildred Allen Reeves, sister-in-law, Ruth Allen; Children, "Jackie" Brookshire, Charles "Buddy" Price and his wife Essie, Allen "Doc" Cash; Grandchildren, Chuck (Tangie) Price, Tim (Cathy) Price, Mark Price, Gail (Ronnie) Pavuk, Debra "Rockey" Warren, Dorsey (Joanna) Stancil, Cami Cash, Crystal Cash, Carey (Angie) Cash; Many Great Grandchildren , Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. Hazel knew the Lord at an early age and has been a devout Christian all of her life. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Millie Kim officiating. She will be buried beside her late husband, Fred Cash in Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mount Harmony Baptist Church, Building Fund, 561 Veterans Memorial Hwy, SE, Mableton, GA 30126-2616. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
