Grady Neal Upshaw's Obituary
Grady Neal Upshaw, 90 of Mableton died Tuesday, October 27,2009.
Mr. Upshaw was born July 26,1919 in Atlanta,Ga. to Aubrey and Rachel Upshaw. He passed away on October 27,2009 in Winter Garden, FL and has been in the care of his niece, Quetta Sullivan since 1996. Neal was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving as a military policeman from 1942 until 1946 in the European and American theatres. He married Emma Louise Dorminey in 1947 and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage before her passing in 1996. He was employed by Atlanta Gas for 43 years until his retirement in 1985. Neal was predecesed by one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his son Larry Neal Upshaw and his wife Phtllis of Austell, GA, two granddaughters, Jennifer and Tracy Upshaw of Georgia, and five great-grandchildren;and Nieces & Nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday November 3, 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Cooke officiating
