Goldee Boozer's Obituary
Goldee Boozer age 93, born & raised in Atlanta and moved to Austell, GA in 1961, passed away November 13, 2017. Preceding him in death is his wife of over 60 years, Mary Lou Britt Boozer, and his infant son, Robert Boozer. He is survived by his four children, John E. (Patricia) of Chelsea, AL, David W. (Angela) of Talladega, AL, Victoria Buice (Sam) of Powder Springs, GA, and Patricia Barnett (Leslie) of Rabun, GA. He was a grandfather to 10 and a great grandfather to 19. Goldee was a deacon and active member of Austell First Baptist and in charge of the tape ministry there. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. “GB” was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ridgeway officiating. Interment will occur at 3:00 PM on Thursday at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Snellville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Gideons International at https://www2.gideons.org/donate.
