Gerlene Brown Pearson's Obituary
Gerlene “Bean” Brown Pearson was born in Austell, Ga to Archie and Prudence Brown, she was one of twelve children. Gerlene was a life-long resident of the Austell area and graduate of the Lemon Street School in Marietta. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching her soaps, game shows, and doing word finds. She was a very quiet and gentle spirit who will be dearly missed by all.
Gerlene was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Prudence Brown; husband, Henry Allen Pearson; siblings, James Andrews, Mattie "Gladys" Williams, Samuel Archie Brown II, Patsy Anne Brown, Willie "Neda" Paige, Parie Lee Williams, Sadie Brown, Thomas Lathan, Eddie Lee Lathan, and Ophelia Brown; and son, Raymond Pearson.
She is survived by her sister, Allene Tankson (husband, Sonny) who resides in Chicago, IL, sons, Ralph Brown (wife, Norma) in Austell, GA, Dewone Pearson (wife, Lisa) in Athens, GA, Vick Pearson (wife, Tameka) in Clayton, GA, Henry Allen Pearson Jr. in Atlanta, GA; daughter, Brenda Asberry in Douglasville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Chavan Brown, Andre Brown (wife, Edwina), Shellbe Brown, Antonio "Tony" Brown , William "Henry" Brown , Ashley Brown, Danny Moore (wife, Mary) and Shane Moore (wife, Gina); 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many beloved extended family and friends.
She created and built a foundation for our family with her hard work, love, and dedication. We will forever love and cherish our Sister, Mother, and Grandmother.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Rhone officiating. Interment will follow at Causey Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service Wednesday from 11:00AM-2:00 PM.
