George was a very special man to me. I met him years ago when I represented him in a life changing legal matter. He was warm kind generous and most of all he loved his sons. He absolutely adored his sons. It Was important to him was important to him that he set an example for his sons as to how to be an honable and decent man. When I met him he worked for Steelcase, wS doing quite well, but remained humble. Oddly enough, George crossed my mind a few days ago and thn I saw Gwen's post on Facebook today. Gwen, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and he loved you madly. May God givevyou comfort and peace. George is doing fine. Jacquelyn [email protected]
I am a white guy. George was my boss in 1972-73 when I worked for Bristol Myers. He was the best. My wife made him some Pea Soup and he never forgot it. I had Pea Soup tonight and it reminded me of George. So I looked him up on the internet and I find his obituary. I am so disappointed. I have tried to find him many times over the years to no avail. My son went to Bryant. I would plug in George Yates, Bristol-Myers, and Bryant College, and Rhode Island, but nothing ever came up for me until tonight. I’m so disappointed. I just wanted to be able to give him a call and ask him how he was doing, if he had kids, if he still liked Pea Soup. We had a good time. I can still see George's big smile and hear his great laugh reverberating through the Steelcase showroom. Love and condolences to Gwen and all of the family.
