George "Lin" Davis' Obituary
Davis, George “Lin” Davis, age 86 of Douglasville, formerly a 50 year resident of Mableton. Lin was a member of West Metro Church of Christ, where he loved to go and enjoyed the fellowship. He is retired from Rich’s department store as a departmental supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, catching and eating catfish. Above all, he enjoyed his family.
Lin is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Wooddall Davis. Surviving are his children, Phil and Jackie Davis of Hiram, Kathy and Doug Tolleson of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Lindsey and Gil Davis, Chad and Hope Davis, Sydney Tolleson, Tanner Tolleson, and Tonya and Scott Whitmire; great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Jase, Brooklynn, Grace and Luke; sister, Gladies Pettus of Lexington, AL; brother, Warren Davis of Florence, AL.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 1:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Chapel with Rev. Ricky Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Funeral Home, Austell.
