George Thomas Cox Jr.'s Obituary
George "Tommy" Thomas Cox, Jr. age 64 of Temple passed away July 13, 2018. George retired from the United States Army where he served in the 82nd Airborn Division for 20 years. He also retired from the United States Postal Service after 23 years. He was a member of VERVE Church of God.
George was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittney Cox and sister, Terri Lynn Cox. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Cox; son, Kurtis S. Cox; son, Thomas D. Cox; daughter, Tavie R. Cox; son, Joseph A. Cox; step-daughters, Angie Gains; Cindy Jefferson; Jamie Patterson sister, Gail Doan; brother, James Cox; 16 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Tarpley officiating. Interment will be held Tuesday 1:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
