George D. Clayton's Obituary
George David Clayton, age 84, of Ellijay passed away Wednesday October 28, 2015. He retired as a truck driver after over 40 years of service with Woodstock Gas Co. George loved traveling, fishing, camping and his farm. He left his family with many memories. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Diane; son, Darrell; and brother, Claude Clayton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol White Clayton; children, Wayne and Clara Clayton of McDonough; Susie Wirtz of Powder Springs; Lisa Gibson of Powder Springs; Georgina Campbell of Indiana; Robin and Bill Burdette of Duluth; Angel and Daniel Bobo of Canton; Junior Denmark of Marietta; Lori and Bernardino of Powder Springs; He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters Linda Harris of Dallas; Becky Monday of Buchannan; Gail Duttonhoffer of Ellijay; and brother Terry Clayton of Smyrna. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. Sunday November 1, 2015 at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday October 31, 2015 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
