Gary Lee Fowler's Obituary
Gary Lee Fowler, age 71, of Mableton passed away January 10, 2019. He was known for being a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Gary was also funny, generous, and very kind. He defined what it means to be a hard worker; he could fix anything! Gary loved being outside. His grandkids loved when he would ride them around on his Polaris. He enjoyed eating with his pals weekly. He had a talent for telling stories and making people laugh. Gary was on the Pastor Council at Highest Praise Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Angie Fowler; mother, Lucille Fowler of Covington, GA; children, Cassie (Ben) Godfrey of Temple, GA, Chad (Maria) Fowler of Lookout Mountain, TN, Rebecca (Dan) Rogers of Hamilton, GA, and Matt Fowler of Marietta, GA; seven grandchildren, Gabriella, Caleb, Hannah, Braden, Ryan, Bear, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Elsie with Addison on the way; and siblings, Gail (Robin) Wofford of Conyers, GA, Dianne (Wallace) Smith of Conyers, GA, Angela Fowler of Covington, GA, and Jeff (Kris) Fowler of Conyers, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 13, 1:00 PM at Highest Praise Church of God with Rev. Tony Stallings. He will lie in state from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at Highest Praise. Interment will occur at Crest Lawn Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Monday.
