Gaines R. Burnett, Sr., age 90 of Powder Springs passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013. He was a member of Clarkdale United Methodist Church, retired from RCA Service Company in 1983 after 28 years and was a WWII Navy Veteran. H Read Obituary

Uncle Gaines was always a joy to be around.So many fond memories always looked foward to seeing you all when ever you came in.Fran always said that uncle Gaines was always such a Gentleman A Kind Soul.He will be missed but nor FORGOTTEN for how could you forget that Laugh or that smile.Aunt Dorthy, Ann and Buddy and the rest of the family who he always talked about with such great pride and caring LOVE. We so enjoyed each Sunday getting a chance to visit with Gaines. He'd shuffle to the back of the church where we managed the sound system and always have a sweet word, a joke, and a smile. May the Lord bless his friends and family with comfort and healing.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Gaines. He was a good man and I enjoyed his friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Donnie and Betty Newsom
