Fred, my brother you were always one of my very best friends in High School at Huntington High. This news troubles me as I have always thought so much of you. When some folks picked on me at school you were always there to be cool to me and be a friend.
We discussed doing some tunes together and never got the chance.
My sincere prayers and condolences to the family. I am speechless. To be absent from the body is to be ever present with Jesus. God bless you brother may you RIP.

My wife and I are overwhelmed with sadness to hear of the passing of Fred. Our condolences and love we extend to the entire Turner family. We were blessed to have shared great memories with him, especially with our son, Daniel Jr., who loved Fred like a brother. May GOD bless and keep each of you!

Dear Fred, you have been in my life since 1976 when I met your sister Jackie at Randolph AFB, TX. To be honest all your family have been in my life, some I have met, and some I haven't met. You were of the one I never got to meet but believe me I always got updates on you growing up, and going in the military, and having a son. Thank goodness for Facebook, because that is where I was personally able to communicate with you myself. I know you are in much better place now, no more pain, no more hospitals, and you are completely back to your old self again.

Rest easy little brother, I told my mom you were coming, so if a lady name Vickie Henry comes up to you that's her, please hug her and kiss her for me. God be with you till we meet again.

My condolences truly goes out to the whole turner family, me and Fred instantly became homies from the day I met him. Fred was basically like a older brother to me, I learned so much from this man and he did so much for me words couldn’t even explain, when I heard about fred’s Passing, apart of me left as well.

To the entire Turner family, I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences. I had the pleasure of sharing some of the greatest parts of my musical life with Fred. From spinning records at junior high and high school dances and traveling through out the Tri -State area of our hometown with our band “Actcent“, where Fred developed his knack for producing music. Fred, Troy, Carlos, Klevin, Melanee, Shawn, Nemo, Billy, myself and others spent many days and evenings in the Collins’ basement doing what we loved. When rehearsal wasn’t going right and tempers would start to flare. Fred with that famous smile and sense of humor from behind the sound console, would always make us laugh and forget what we were upset about in the first place. He would always keep us focused on the task at hand. There are so many stories! I will always keep him in my thoughts, for being like a brother, and as a soldier not only in the Army but most of all in the years of his life after his dreadful accident. What a warrior! Rest well Fred you have earned it. Love you brother!

Fred was a student to of mine in first grade at Cammack Elementary in Huntington, WV. To say that everyone loved friend would be an understatement...we all adored him. I was saddened to hear, first, of his accident and just recently, his passing. I have been reading so many wonderful stories from all of his friends at Cammack. I am hoping he is getting to see them. I love you, Fred Turner...rest in heaven.
