Frankie "Delorise" Cumbie's Obituary
Frankie “Delorise” Cumbie, age 83 of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed peacefully at her home with loving family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Loy Franklin and Hazel Kell McClain. Delorise was Baptist by Faith.
She attended West Fulton High School in Atlanta, where she was a majorette and played in the band. After high school she she studied and graduated from cosmetology school. This started her career as a beautician. She worked for others then opened her own beauty shop. Delorise was skilled in sewing and was a floral designer, working at several different florists. She also worked for a photography studio as a stylist for high school seniors.
As you can see, Delorise was incredibly creative and very much of people person. She was very supportive to her children and grandchildren to follow their dream and career choices, encouraging them every step of the way.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Jerry Cumbie, grandson Casey Williams, and granddaughter Nora Sullivan.
She is survived by daughter Carmon (Darryl) Williams of Bremen, son Jimmy (Erin) O’Neal of Savannah; stepsons Mike (Alisha) Cumbie of Acworth, Mark (Deidri) Cumbie of Dallas, Matt (Barbara) Cumbie of Sisters, Oregon; stepdaughter, Melissa Cumbie.
Together with Jerry they have as surviving grandchildren, Candice, Chelsea, Mezz Myrh, Pinatova, Heather, and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Gwenivere, Coltyn, Ciara, Axle, Waylon, Oliver, and Charlie; sisters: Louise Mitcham, Juanita Motes, Bobbie (Edward) Camp; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Frankie “ Delorise” Cumbie will be Monday, December 8, 2025 at 12 noon with Rev. Steve Stafford officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10 AM till 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
