Frances Davis' Obituary
Mrs. Frances Loudean Hicks Davis of Wicksburg, AL, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA. She was 78. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 4, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home wtih Rev. Dan Raley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, AL, directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM. Mrs. Loudean was born on May 20, 1933, in Wicksburg to the late Claude and Hassie Reeves. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her son: Shafler Eli Hicks; her second husband: Andrew Davis; two brothers: Jimmy and Hubert Lee Reeves; four sisters; Pauline Sorrells, Katherine Greathouse, Myrtle Thomley, Mae Mims; and three nephews: Roy Sorrells, Foy Sorrells, Greg Greathouse. Survivors include one son, Danny Shafter Hicks, Jr. (Kelli) and Brian Ray Hicks (Amber); Six great grandchildren: Taylor Bryan (Shaun), Amber Hicks, Amanda Hicks, Tyler Hicks, Daniel Whitworth and Shelby Hicks; one great great granddaughter: Kyleigh Emmalyn Bryan; one great great grenddaughter on the way: Aubrie Brooke Bryan; one step-daughter, Pat Eddins; nieces and nephews: Darlene and Danny Cook, Lonnie and Chris Mims, Sue Sorrells, Carolyn Sorrells, Sara Howell, Nellie Howell, Edna and George and Glenn Carroll, Teresa and Charles Jowers, Virginia and Joe Welcher, Wallace Thomley, Brenda and Donnie Herndon, Wanda and Derryl McSween, Cathy and Bill Brown.
