Fatimot Folasade Adufe Oyekan's Obituary
Fatimot Folasade Adufe Oyekan was born to Nimota Aweda, and Fatai Oyekan on April 17, 1982, in Lagos, Nigeria. She migrated in 1985 to Savannah, Georgia, where her parents were students at Savannah State University.
While Folasade was not born an American, she spent most of her life in the United States and left behind noteworthy accomplishments in this society. Sade graduated with honors from Osborne High School, in the year 2000. Upon graduation she was admitted to the University of Florida with a full college scholarship as a pre-med student. She later attended Kennesaw State University, where she was also an honor student.
Folasade Adufe ended her earthly journey on April 6, 2024, when the Lord called her home to rest. She is survived by her two young sons, Olamide and Zion Ireoluwa, whom she loved very much. She is also survived by her parents, Nimota and Ade. Adeboye, her two siblings, Motolani Oyekan and Salman Adeboye, and numerous relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Cronin, Bishop Alan Mushegan, and Pastor Kenny Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
