Evelyn Louise Eubanks' Obituary
Evelyn Louise Eubanks, age 82, of Villa Rica and formerly of Mableton, passed away February 26, 2021. Evelyn was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church. She spent 39 years of her life, starting in 1956, at raceways all over the Southeastern United States, and spent a majority of her time at West Atlanta Raceway, Dixie Speedway, and Rome Speedway. She loved racing and was eager to work at the speedways in any capacity. Evelyn also loved to work outside in her yard, and enjoyed riding her lawnmower.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Eubanks, Jr., parents, Willie and Odessa Sells; and brother, Leon Sells. She is survived by her sons, Billy (Pat) Eubanks of Fairmount, Mike Eubanks of Villa Rica, and David (Dianne) Eubanks of Villa Rica; sister, Drew Willie Massey; grandchildren, Jamie Eubanks, Billy (Kelly) Eubanks, and Kenzie Eubanks; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Tripp, and Lane; and many beloved extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
A private interment will take place at Powder Springs City Cemetery.
Anyone wishing to view the service virtually may do so via a livestream video that will appear on Evelyn’s tribute page during the listed service time. In keeping with current precautions due to COVID-19, we are requesting that anyone visiting wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
