Ellen Dukes' Obituary
Anyone who has ever had the privilege to cross paths with Ellen Dukes will tell you that she was an amazing person with the most beautiful heart. She made it her life’s purpose to help others and she continued to do so with no complaints even if she didn’t have the means to do so. To her three children she was a loving mother, to her husband she was a dedicated wife, to her siblings she was that shoulder they could lean on and to her friends she provided them with emotional support.
In addition to the support she gave to those around her, she was also a devout Christian and spent most of her days learning about and serving the creator. She also had respect for all forms of life and refused to kill even the smallest insect. During the last five years of her life, her daily routine included feeding birds, squirrels and she even fed a small family of stray cats.
Ellen Dukes was a very compassionate woman who truly understood the message of love and forgiveness and often encouraged others to do so. She will truly be missed by friends and family
In honor of Ellen’s wishes, we decided not to have a formal service but if anyone would like to send flowers or visit the grave it is located at Knollwood Cemetary 1678 SOM Center Rd., Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 (Lot 609A).
