Eleanor McDaniel Conn's Obituary
Ms. Eleanor McDaniel Conn, 89, of Powder Springs passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, after a long illness. She was born in 1935 to Hoyt and Vivian McDaniel. She graduated from West Fulton High School and worked as an office administrator for many companies, retiring from Kohl & Madden Printing Ink in 2000. Eleanor was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs and adored her church family like her own. She loved her immediate and extended family fiercely, but her lifelong commitment was to take care of her special needs daughter. She taught her to read and write and to become as self-sufficient as possible. Their bond was unbreakable to the very end.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, and siblings: Charles, Kenneth, Danny, Denise and Ted; and her grandson Bryn. She is survived by her children Louis, Lauren, Billy and Brooke (Danny); eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held Thursday, October 17, at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs at 2:30 pm with the Rev. Alan Davis officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, 4330 North Avenue, Powder Springs, GA 30127, Senior Ministry or Disaster Relief Fund, and would be much appreciated.
