Egarnoise Carithers Evans II's Obituary
With heavy hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life of Egarnoise C. Evans II, affectionately known to family and friends as “EG,” whose remarkable journey touched countless lives. Born on October 20, 2002, in Southfield, Michigan, to Joyce Evans and Egarnoise Evans, EG lived a life defined by purpose, passion, compassion, and fearless determination.
From an early age, EG possessed a heart that naturally looked after others. Even in kindergarten, he was affectionately known as the “Papa Bear” of his class, always making sure the other children were safe and in line. His caring nature was evident in everything he did. One of his favorite childhood memories came after breaking his wrist in elementary school. Rather than choosing a traditional cast, he proudly selected a bright pink one, and he never forgot the kindness of a beloved teacher who was courageously battling breast cancer. Her strength and resilience left a lasting impression on his young heart.
By middle school, EG had blossomed into a vibrant social butterfly whose infectious personality drew people in wherever he went. His confidence, humor, and genuine kindness made it easy for him to build lifelong friendships.
While attending Campbell High School, EG discovered his passion for speed. A naturally gifted athlete, he excelled in track and field, where his determination and competitive spirit shined. Beyond athletics, he embraced the performing arts through theater, revealing his creativity and charisma. His curiosity also flourished in the classroom, where he developed a deep appreciation for mathematics, science, and business.
Following high school, EG attended the prestigious Morehouse College as a LOMAX Scholar, earning a full academic scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Finance. His education extended far beyond the classroom through opportunities to study abroad, allowing him to explore the United Kingdom, Portugal, Morocco, and the Czech Republic. During one memorable trip, locals jokingly mistook him for Snoop Dogg—a story he loved to share with laughter.
His love for speed didn’t end on the track. It evolved into a lifelong passion for automobiles and motorcycles. Whether behind the wheel of his beloved Mustang GT or riding his Kawasaki Ninja ZX, EG found joy in anything fast. He was fascinated by mechanics and enjoyed repairing, customizing, buying, and selling cars and motorcycles. His entrepreneurial mindset fueled numerous successful side ventures.
EG also had a passion for modeling and proudly embraced his favorite color—pink—which perfectly reflected his confidence and individuality. His generous spirit extended into his community through volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, where he faithfully served senior citizens with compassion and respect.
Professionally, EG worked as a Marketing Consultant with Flowers Foods while continuing to pursue multiple entrepreneurial endeavors. He approached every opportunity with excellence, innovation, and determination.
Those who knew EG will forever remember him as loving, adventurous, fearless, resilient, joyful, analytical, outgoing, and exceptionally kind-hearted. He possessed a rare ability to make others feel seen, valued, and inspired. His smile could brighten a room, his laughter was contagious, and his unwavering belief that life was meant to be lived boldly encouraged everyone around him to dream bigger.
EG leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply: his loving mother, Joyce Evans; his father, Egarnoise Evans; sisters Rachel Green, Raven Green, Ericka Holley, Erra Evans, Elesha Evans, and Emani Evans; and his brother, Ean Evans.
He also leaves to cherish his memory his best friends, Collin Frano and David Whatley III; his special friend, Tinuola Alabi; along with countless relatives, mentors, colleagues, classmates, and friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him.
Though his time with us was far too brief, EG lived a life filled with purpose, adventure, compassion, and unwavering ambition. His legacy reminds us to embrace every opportunity, care deeply for others, chase our dreams fearlessly, and live life at full speed.
