Edward Isaac Reece's Obituary
Mr. Edward Isaac Reece, age 91 of Austell, GA passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was born December 27, 1930 in Powder Springs; the late son of Mr. Dillard Reece and the late Mrs. Bessie Hughes Reece. Mr. Reece retired from Delta Air Lines with 34 years of service. He loved his family and antique cars, specifically 1939 Fords.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Fallis Reece; brothers, Arnold “Pete” Reece, Lawrence “Bud” Reece, Weldon Reece, Ebb Reece, and Hubert Reece; sister, Grace Bone; and grandson, Paul Cooper.
Mr. Reece is survived by his children and their spouses, Martha Reece Snow of Jackson, AL, Barbara Reece Riggs (Chuck) of Marietta, and Steve Reece (Julie) of Opelika, AL; sisters-in-law, Lennie Reece of Jacksonville, FL, Charlotte Sullivan of Douglasville, and Ann Mitchell of Austell; grandchildren and their spouses, Shawn Andrew (Bryan) of Canton, Robert Riggs of Marietta, Chris Reece (Maggie) of Atlanta, and Austin Reece (Emily) of Auburn, AL; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh and Micah Andrew of Canton, Kahlan Riggs of Marietta, Brylie Cooper of Jackson, AL, Henry Reece of Atlanta, William Reece, and Eli Reece, both of Auburn, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 14, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Davis and Gerald Stephens officiating. Interment will follow the service at Davis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or the charity of one’s choice.
