Edward Clarence Hyatt's Obituary
Edward Clarence Hyatt, age 85, of Mableton passed away December 30, 2020. Edward was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist in Powder Springs for over 10 years. He was born in Austell and graduated from Austell High School in 1952. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, Edward worked his way up to supervisor at Atlanta Gas Light, and retired from there after over 30 years of service.
Edward was a jack of all trades. If it needed to be fixed, he could fix it. Whether it was a car, air conditioning, or motors, he could do it all. He did it because he loved to help others. In his free time, he loved to fish and spend time with his family.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, John Irvin and Jewel Estelle Hyatt; and siblings, Elba, Tony, “Red”, Waymond, Bobby, and Tommie Sue.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joyce Annette Hyatt; sisters-in-law, Jean Stephens and Evelyn Stephens; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2nd, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Preacher Nathan Knight officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
