Edna Brannon's Obituary
Edna Earle Eldredge Brannon, 95, of Austell passed away Monday December 5, 2016 at Presbyterian Village. Edna was born in Hapeville, Georgia on March 26, 1921 to Flagg and Leola Eldredge. She married Homer W. Brannon on July 2, 1938. They were married for 65 years until his death in January 2004.
Edna was an active member of Austell United Methodist Church, the Austell and South Cobb Lions Clubs where she was presented the Melvin Jones award for outstanding service and a volunteer at C.A.M.P. for over 20 years. Edna enjoyed an active and fulfilling life as a resident of Presbyterian Village since 2005.
Homer and Edna had 3 children: Peggy (Don) Case of Mableton, Ga., Tommy (Sherry) Brannon of Charlotte, N.C., Mary Ellen (Tom) Haubner of Simpsonville, S.C. They have 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9th at 1:00 pm at the Davis-Struempf Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Caring Hands Fund at Presbyterian Village, P.O. Box 957267, Duluth, Ga. 30095.
