Drew Massey's Obituary
Drew passed away on the morning of April 20. She lived a long honorable life. She left us with precious memories that we’ll always treasure. She was born in Gwinnett County on August 24, 1933. She was the oldest of 3 children born to Odessa and Willie Sells. They lived in Lawrenceville before moving to Atlanta. She went to Mason Turner Elementary along with West Fulton High School. She met the love of her life (Ed) and they married on April 1, 1950. Ed & Drew had 4 children. Stan, Deb, Sharon and Eddie Jr. She loved cooking. She loved her flowers. She always had the prettiest flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ed Massey; son, Stan Massey; granddaughter, Stephanie Massey Dempsey; parents, Odessa and Willie Sells; brother, Leon Sells and sister, Evelyn Eubanks.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Pennington, and Deb Daniel; son, Eddie Massey Jr.; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 24 12:00 PM at Davis Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Richard Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday April 23 from 4:00PM -8:00 PM at the funeral home.
