Douglas Lee Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Douglas Lee "Doug" Johnson, age 83 of Austell, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Mr. Johnson retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was a member of Spirit of Life Church of God and volunteered at local nursing homes, playing his guitar. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geraldine Johnson; daughters, Deborah Harmon of Douglasville and Rebekah "Becky" Blasczyk of Powder Springs; son, Stephen Johnson of Flintstone; brothers, Jimmy Johnson and Doyle Johnson of LaGrange, and Garrin Johnson of Stevenson, AL; sisters, Tavey Nunis of LaGrange and Patricia Wilkes of Tennessee; 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and One Great-Great Granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Spirit of Life Church, laying In-state at the church at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
