If I could name the one person who has had the biggest influence on me in my Christian life, it would be “Mama Jean” Smith. She has now walked into the arms of the Savior she has taught me about all my life. I will miss her, but I know she is well and whole, and with her precious daughter Dot and son Don (aka My Fuzzy Monster). I love you Mama Jean and I can’t wait to see you again and get one of your big hugs!! My prayers and love are with you, Bonnie, Deb and the whole family!!

What a privilege to have known this Wonderful, Christian Lady!! Our family loved "Momma Jean" very much!! She was the most caring, selfless, loving person. She always put others first. She always had a smile, kind encouraging word and helping hand for others. She was the epitome of what a Christian should be. She was there for our family many times and we were very grateful. My sweet friend, we had so many Wonderful times together, being neighbors for so many years, sharing laughter, Joys heartaches and our Faith. A few years ago we decided to become Sisters as neither of us had a Sister in our family lives. God created us all, and we both believed that with all our heart, soul and minds. Mama Jean was a blessing to everyone that knew her and she always had a happy face even when she was sick. Everyone would always see Jesus in her. Calvary Baptist Church is going to greatly miss her. Mama Jean was a precious soul when I met her in 1983 at Austell First, She is one that will be told "Welcome Home My Good and Faithful Servant" Life got in the way and I lost contact , But I never forgot her Love and Compassion for people and More Especially Our Savior.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of a wonderful person. We will always remember Mama Jean as a loving and caring woman with a hug and smile for everyone. Our family became close to her 10 years ago. She was such a blessing to us in our time of need, and she watched over my 2 young granddaughters as if they were her own children. They became very close to her and always treasured her love. She was very special to us. Mama Jean's faith in Christ was an inspiration to us all. She will be truly missed. But we know that she is at peace and in the best place there is - Heaven.
