Dear Family & Friends,
My sweet mother has passed away and now it's time to remember her and celebrate the marvelous human being she was.
Each of us, of course, will have our own very special memories of her, but surely the common thread will be her great ability to enjoy life and to truly love people. As her daughter, I remember her as my singing buddy from the time I was able to carry a tune all the way to the proofreader of my Masters Thesis as recent as 2005.
Most of you know that she had a severe hemmorhagic stroke in November of 2008, and then other gremlins krept in and worsened, namely severe hearing loss and dementia. Regardless, she remained cheerful, brave, and loving.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning at home, in a warm, cozy bed. To the end, we enjoyed hearing her sing around the house, play the piano, and smile as she commented on how much she enjoyed living in their apartment at Presbyterian Village.
We look forward to celebrating her life with as many of you as can make it to her memorial service on Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Sandy Springs where she was an active member for over 20 years.
Love,
Susan Michie McLeish##imported-begin##Susan Michie McLeish##imported-end##
