Marvin and family,
It is with sadness I write to you. I know you loved Dot very much, but you have also seen her suffer so long. Just remember in GOD's house there are many mansions and she has now claimed one as her own. I wrote this poem, Perhaps it will help you at this time.
Dorothy Hoke Has Been Called Home
Dorothy Hoke has been called home,
To heaven above to live with the LORD.
She loved her family for sure.
But, she knew for her, there was no cure.
She put up a hard fight
She was strong to the end.
Now even though she is out of sight,
She'll be a beaming star we see each night.
She was a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.
She was loved, and will be missed on this earth forever.
But, you shall have peace to know she's gone to a better place,
And to know one day soon, you'll meet her again, face to face.
This old world is a dressing room,
One day in heaven, we'll have a reunion.
With those we love who have gone on before.
And we know she will be waiting for us at the door.
Remember in GOD's house, there are many mansions
And she has gone now to claim one as her own.
A new healthy body to start her new life
To live with the LORD in paradise!
Her family and friends are saddened by the news
That's understandable, she has been there for you.
In the days to come, time will heal your broken hearts
You'll have peace in knowing she's watching over you.
I believe if she could speak to you now
She would say don't cry, I have just gone away.
To get ready for you, when you come someday,
And to reassure you, HEAVEN is only a heartbeat away!
