Dorothy Stewart Burnett's Obituary
Dorothy Beatrice Stewart Burnett, age 93 of Powder Springs passed away August 22, 2018. Dorothy was a native of Indiana. She was a member of Clarkdale United Methodist Church and was the former President of the Powder Springs Garden Club. Dorothy loved God, family, and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines R. Burnett, Sr.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Ann (Sam) Baker of Statesboro; son, Gaines R. “Buddy” (Lorraine) Burnett, Jr. of Marietta; sister, Carol (Joe) Hook of New Albany, Indiana; brothers, Eugene (Lucille) Stewart; David (Martha) Stewart.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zeb Baker; Elizabeth Ann (John) Codega; Josie Baker; Stephanie Burnett; Kelsey Burnett; great-grandson, James Codega.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cindy Connor officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
