Doris Lybrand Bannister Lee's Obituary
Mrs. Doris Lybrand Bannister Lee, age 82 of Powder Springs, passed away February 22, 2013. Doris was a member of Doss Memorial Baptist Church. After retiring from Oxford Industries, Doris enjoyed gardening and cooking. Everyone loved her dinners which she hosted so she could spend time with her family and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Bannister and Jimmy Lee; siblings, Bernard Lybrand of Jasper, Betty Lybrand Delong of Augusta, Lois Lybrand Sasnett of Atlanta, and Victor Lybrand of Mableton. She is survived by her brother, Lester Lybrand of Mableton; sister-in-law, Jeannette Seagraves Lybrand of Mableton; nieces and nephews, Ray DeLong of Augusta, Victoria Fricks of Acworth, Vonda Lacey and Ken Lybrand both of Staunton, VA; great-nieces and great nephews, Phillip Lacey, Lauren Lacey and Paul Lacey.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 until 4 PM and Monday prior to the service beginning at 1 PM. The funeral service will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to Doss Memorial Baptist Church, 4500 Doss Circle, Powder Springs, Georgia 30127.
