Dora Carr Jones' Obituary
Dora Carr Jones, age 78, of Smyrna passed away March 18, 2017. She was a member of Lost Mountain Church of God. Dora retired from Cobb County Schools Systems as a dietician. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel B. Jones; brother, Sherman Carr; and sister, Katie Carr. She is survived by her son, Dennis Jones of Smyrna; daughter, Cathy Healan of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Rachel Hebb, Dara Wick, Jared Healan, Christy Rabun, and Jema Medina; three great grandchildren; brother, Johnnie (Maggie) Carr of Ringgold; and all the Jones family, which she considered close family. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 20, 1:00 PM at Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Bates officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
