Donald Eugene Skinner's Obituary
Donald Eugene Skinner, age 67, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Arnold and Annie Sue Skinner of Austell, Georgia. Don was an avid fisherman and lifelong University of Georgia Bulldawg fan. He was a member of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia. Previously, he was a longtime member of Mableton First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son, Brian (wife, Carrie) and granddaughters, Charlotte (10) and Amelia (8) Skinner. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Skinner and sisters, Kathy Skinner Tibbetts and Jeanie Skinner Swickard. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
