Dolores Virginia Coppola's Obituary
Dolores Virginia (nee Towle) Coppola (Mimi), age 94, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 24, 2025.
She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where she met her husband Pete Coppola while working as a dental assistant. They later moved to Pompano Beach, Florida where she worked for Publix for over twenty-five years and raised her two children as well as assisting with her husband’s business.
After she retired from Publix, they moved to Georgia where they were parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Smyrna, Georgia. Dolores was an amazing mother and grandmother whose smile and kindness will be missed every day. We love her always and forever – always have, always will.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Pete A. Coppola.
Dolores is survived by her children: Pete (Skip) Coppola and daughter-in-law Tina Coppola, of Smyrna, Georgia; and Mark Coppola and daughter-in-law Kristi Coppola, of Cartersville, Georgia.
She is also survived by her two grandchildren: Reverend Pete Coppola and Kateri Coppola, children of Skip and Tina.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 2:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
