Dixon Randy Allen Jr.'s Obituary
Allen, Jr, Dixon Randolph (Randy) Dixon R. “Randy “ Allen, 76, passed away in the 19th, January, 2018 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Randy was born in Anniston, Alabama to the late Dixon Randolph and Jesse Spivey Allen. He spent his working career as an educator in the Cobb County School District. He served as teacher, counselor and school administrator.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Herring Allen, sons Jeffrey Allen(Sherye) and Jason Allen(Amy) and daughter, Julie Allen Brown(Patrick). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Taylor Heithold, Austin and Ali Allen, Abby(Collins) Shirley and Bo Brown.
After retirement from the Cobb County School District, he enjoyed golf, walking and teaching Sunday School at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at Davis Struempf Funeral Home in Austell, Georgia. Dr. Randall Whitten is officiating. Interment will be at Crestwood Memorial Gardens in Gadsden, Alabama.
