Dexter R. Ellerbee's Obituary
Dexter R. Ellerbee, age 64, of Clarkdale, GA., lost his long-time battle with illness on January 13, 2016. He was born to Aleane and McGruder Ellerbee. Growing up in Clarkdale Georgia was something Dexter talked about with very fond memories. He attended the University of West Georgia in Carrollton and later taught history in the Cobb County School System. Dexter was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Austell. Surviving Dexter is his wife, Jackie Simpson Ellerbee; a brother, Roger; and a nephew, Matthew and his wife Rebekah. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Interment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
