Debra Jean Wright's Obituary
Debra Jean Wright was born on September 2, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to her parents, Francis and Vera Jean Castille. In 1978, Debra fell in love and married Albert Eugene Wright, III. Albert and Debra Wright raised five children in Los Angeles, where she was a dedicated homemaker who took pride in being a mother and wife who supported everyone around her in pursuit of their dreams, including her husband who was owner and operator of the Wright One Limousine Services whose reach spanned from Los Angeles, California to Las Vegas, Nevada. She wanted to be known as Mrs. Albert Eugene Wright, III. She also loved the beach, enjoyed spending time with her family, and never missed one football game, basketball game, track meet, or other activity in which her children participated in. She would gladly serve as team mom although it was difficult for her to focus while running down the side lines cheering her child on. Debra also had a huge heart and without hesitation she took many of her nieces and nephews under her wing to nurture and raise like her own in her home. Family was everything to her.
Debra Wright moved to Las Vegas in 1998 where she was a faithful member of the Rock of Deliverance Church under the leadership of Apostle Dodd worshiping the Lord with her family many times a week, including Friday nights. Much like Proverbs 22:6, Debra truly believed that with the help of her church, she should train her children in the way that they should go so that once they were older they would not depart from it. She later moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2003 where she attended the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ serving faithfully alongside her husband, a Minister.
Debra moved to Austell, Georgia in 2010 where she spent much of her time with her children and grandchildren, enjoying life, and again, making family the center of her universe. She was very skilled with her hands and was determined to pass on her talent by teaching her granddaughters to sew, cook, paint, and anything else they put their minds to. Yet again, no grandchild’s birthday, cheerleading competition, or piano recital would go on without her being there. She absolutely loved pepsi in a town unfortunately known for coca-cola and did not need a special occasion to give herself a makeover and to throw on her pearls and fur coat.
Debra Jean Wright is survived by her husband Albert Eugene Wright Jr.;children, Dashema and Damon Coleman of California, Sevylle Wright of Mableton, Albert and Brandy Wright of Mableton, Mahogany Wright of Smyrna, Gordon and Shalease Winters of Louisiana; goddaughter, Latasha Burns; eight grandchildren, Danesha and Dastaja Coleman of California, Sydney, Taylor, and Chloe Wright of Mableton, Gordon Jr., Leah, and Chase Winters of Louisiana; brother Corgins Edward Winn; sister and brother-in-law, Annette Rogers and Maurice Wright, Oklahoma; her oldest living relative, Beatrice Dorsey and several nieces and nephews.
