Pat and Mike's Children - I know this is a very difficult time for you. I am in mourning myself so I know how deep the pain can be. Mike lived a very long life but he suffered so much these last few months. He is now at peace. Maybe my grandson, Michael, age 7, who died October 21, was one of the people who greeted him when he died and they are riding bikes together.
Pat, the doctor's told you last year on Mike's 80th birthday that he would not live very long. Your love and contant care even when he was difficult gave him almost 14 months more of life to enjoy his family. No greater gift could have ever been given to him. He knew you loved him.
