David Franklin Jordan's Obituary
David Franklin Jordan, age 82, of Douglasville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family September 16th, 2023. David was born in Atlanta to Hubert Jordan and Antoinette Jordan (née Treadwell), but was raised in the Mableton area. He grew up in Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and went on to be a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church.
David was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to camp, and he and his wife, Patricia, spent many evenings camping under the stars. He was always game to go fishing or cast netting for shrimp. Fishing was his passion, and he couldn’t wait to get off work and cast a line.
Generous and thoughtful, David was ever-willing to lend a helping hand. He was a philanthropist and cared deeply for the well-being of others. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and had a way of phrasing things that would always garner a laugh. David was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.
David is preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 39 years, Patricia Anne Jordan. He is survived by his children, Sherri Rigdon (husband, Jeff) and Kerry Jordan, both of Douglasville; brother, Rick Jordan (wife, Margie) of Thomasville; grandson, Dylan Carney; and nephews. Kevin and Kyle.
