David Lloyd Flanagan's Obituary
On Saturday, October 16, 2021, David Lloyd Flanagan – son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend – passed away at home in Austell, Georgia, surrounded by family. David was born on June 5, 1931, in Hoffman, North Carolina to Alice Baldwin Flanagan and Alfred Jay Flanagan. He joined the Air Force in 1950, and married Ruth Anna Taylor in 1956. After attending North Carolina State University, he excelled as a research scientist at Boeing and Lockheed and later established Daco Services, each endeavor bearing the the imprint of his Air Force training in aircraft electrical systems. David is survived by his wife, four children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held upon his interment at Georgia National Cemetery in Cherokee County, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 15th, 9:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery.
