I met Daniel when he first was hired on at Metro Koring and Supply, Inc.
I worked with him in the field when we were really busy. He has been to my house to help with all kind of misc things from - putting decking in my attic, helping me with halloween props, replacing garbage disposal, etc.
Daniel could do anything. We would joke about how many lives he has lived because he was an expert at any topic you brought up. I miss him a lot. I miss him as a being a huge part of Metro, and also a friend.
He was always there for us. There will never be another one like him. We still talk about him in the office like he is still here - and then quickly realize how much we miss him.
Daniels fingerprints are all over the shop - things he built or improved (or damaged), entered in the computer, notes he left, etc.
I know he would of had an interesting comment about what is going on in the world right now - with this virus, etc.
My son still thanks god for his paw paw and Daniel when say the blessing.
Everyone at Metro is better because we knew Daniel.
Thank you Daniel for being a great friend and so loyal to Metro.

I took Daniel on his first trip to Fort King George. We were doing 18th Century Living History at that time. He was always enthusiastic about every aspect of what he was interested in at the time. Daniel was great company, and wanted to teach all that were interested. He was responsible for the "learning camps" that the GA CoHT conducted for several years. His interest gravitated to the Viking and Celtic period and he engaged that with his usual gusto.

I met Daniel through our viking group, Nordrike Vikingar, 4 years ago. I knew next to nothing about true viking history, but he immediately took me under his wing and taught me how to use a spear, do basic leather work, and how to be confident in myself. He was one of the "go-to" guys when you didn't know how to do something, and was always willing to help. We became so close over the last 4 years; he was one of my best friends and I loved him deeply. Whenever we were together it was always laughs and smiles. I'm going to miss his hugs so much.
This man was and always will be my brother, he and I started the viking group Spear Danes and Shield Maidens.. His heart was so big there is no equal. We met at fort king George years ago and he always said goodbye " love you brother " and you could tell he meant every word. I've come to know his daughters as my own. His sister as my own. And love them all he was a light that burned out too soon.
Daniel foster you have affected all that come in contact with you in a positive way and that my brother is a gift from God.
Love you brother now and allways.
Tom and I met Daniel back in 1999 doing 18th century living history. He was a good looking young man with a ready smile and a big heart. Everything he did , was with great enthusiasm and strived to do his best. Can't believe he's gone too soon. My sympathies to his daughters and the family.
